My name is Erin and I live in Lancashire with my horse (Logan), cats (Skipper and Captain), geckos (Beep and Noodle) and snakes (Sticky McNosepoke and Grim Fandangle). I am a multimedia artist and jewellery designer and I love mould making and resin casting.
I have always loved horsehair bracelets and wanted one of my own, but I found them priced far too highly for me, and I worried that such an expensive item would probably spend its life hidden safely in its box because I wouldn’t want to risk wearing it day-to-day. I wondered if it was something I could make for myself and whether, as well as more precious Sterling silver jewellery, I could make more affordable ‘every day’ items using plated metal and stainless steel findings.
For similar reasons, I began making custom browbands after ordering one for myself from a Big Name, and having it arrive very much not as described! I felt this was something I could learn and expand upon, and now I very much enjoy coming up with unique and unusual designs (though I still secretly enjoy making the classic show pony bling!).
I’m always interested in learning and developing new techniques and ideas, and hope to continue to grow the Ponymandium range. I’ve been very honoured to be able to create lasting tributes to people’s horses, pets and family members, and that is by far the most rewarding part of all I do.
